SCRAP magazine is a professional look at the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA). The idea of remixing was very important in constructing the typography for this project. I chose to create the letters out of metal paper clips to reference the metal cage in MMA. Remixing was introduced as I played with combining my letter forms with Franklin Gothic. By remixing I was able to create very interesting typography that reflected the feel of mixed martial arts as well as pushed my exploration of typography to another level.
