SCRAP magazine is a professional look at the sport of mixed martial arts. It’s goal is to present a well designed insight at issues in the MMA world, such as features on fighters, training tips, nutrition strategies, new gear and the occasional ring girl. The magazine is targeted toward males ages 18-25 but it does appeal to any sports/martial arts enthusiast. In this photography approach I was able to create a narrative of the struggle/battle the province of Ontario is having with legalizing MMA. This was done by using the metaphor of two fighters exchanging with each other. The photographs are intended to show the back and forth struggle between the competitors as well as techniques of MMA in a professional manner. Photographs were taken at Kombat Arts Training Academy.
