The purpose of the Caribana system was to create vechicles such as posters, programs and tickets to communicate the mood of the festival. Also to broadcast the many themes associated with Caribana such as rhythm, decorative, colourful, boldness, and unity. This is done by having many warm bright colours, juxtaposing against each other. This gives the sense of unity and the collaboration of different nations during caribana. Rhythm is done with many repeating forms and boldness is portrayed with the heavy typeface and colour.
